Project : ReStore-Salem Short Description: ReStore Retail Space - Salem Description: The ReStore is a store that sells donated new and gently used building materials, home furnishings and appliances. Please note: We are currently looking for volunteers to work in all aspects of the store. Opportunities for volunteers include organizing specific sections, displaying merchandise, cleaning merchandise, labeling merchandise, pricing merchandise, unloading trucks, loading purchased items into customers vehicles, being a cashier (for weekly volunteer's only), greeting customers, answering questions from customers, taking photos of the merchandise and so much more. STORE HOURS Thursday through Saturday - open 10 AM to 6 PM Sunday - open 10 AM to 4 PM Sometimes there are additional volunteer days at the ReStore when it is not open. Please dress in warm layers throughout the winter as the ReStore can be chilly. Dress in light weight clothing throughout the summer as the ReStore can get very warm. Closed toed shoes are required throughout the entire year. Please bring your own lunch. Bringing your own reusable water bottle and coffee cup will help us to limit the amount of waste that is created and help the environment. Before you are permitted to begin volunteering in any capacity with Habitat SECT you must take the Foundations of Habitat Orientation and Training Class. You may sign up for this class in the first column of the online calendar under Training, Foundations If this is your first time volunteering at the ReStore, please sign in at the register and let them know that this is your first time. Habitat loves photos! Bring your camera, take some pictures and share them with us. You can post them to the Habitat Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/habitatsect or email them to volunteer@habitatsect.org All volunteers need a signed waiver in order to volunteer. Waivers need to be signed annually.
