Project : SJC LEADERS Short Description: SJC Leaders Description: Thank you for signing up! PLEASE READ the following to make sure you are well prepared for your work day. The first thing you need to do is download two forms from the VolunteerUP menu: (1)The Volunteer Interest Form (2) The Site Specific Liability Form. If you have not already done so, you will need to complete the Volunteer Interest Form ASAP and mail it to the Habitat Offices (this form needs to be completed only once). You will then complete the Site Specific Liability Form and bring it with you on your work day (this form will need to be completed once for each different work site). The workday will begin at 7:30 a.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. on Saturdays and will end at 3:30 p.m. We ask that you stay for the full work day. When you arrive onsite you will be asked to present your Site Specific Liability Form. You will then sign in and recieve a name badge. Be sure to SIGN OUT at the end of the day. A safety meeting will begin at 7:45 a.m. during the week and 8:15 a.m. on Saturdays. (IF YOU MISS THE SAFTY MEETING YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO WORK THAT DAY). We will break for lunch around 11:15 a.m. and will resume work at approximately 12 p.m. Feel free to bring your own lunch as lunch will not be provided by HfHOC. All safety materials and tools are provided by HfHOC and we ask that you do NOT bring your own. We suggest leaving all personal items such as cameras and purses in your car as HfHOC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please wear work boots or any closed toed-shoes. NO OPEN-TOED SHOES ALLOWED. For liability reasons no one under the age of 16 is allowed on our construction sites. Volunteers ages 16 and 17 are welcome to build with us and are asked to bring a Site Specific Liability Form signed by a parent or legal guardian on their first build day. We require the young volunteer to be accompanied by an adult 25 years of age or older for the first 3 builds. If after the first three builds this young adult is confident and committed he/she is allowed to come on their own. Thank you again for volunteering with us.
